Below are the mares of Rocking Horse Acres.  Over the years, usually between shows and trips to convention, we have really valued our trips to visit many of the great pony farms all over the country.  Seeing these Historical herds and speaking with the breeders, you gain a unique perspective and understanding of what they are trying to accomplish.  Additionally, nothing compares with being able to see these horses in person along with generations of relatives, in their natural condition and just being horses in the herd.

We were able to choose horses that we considered standouts and that best represented their breeder's program.  I feel that the knowledge of the breeder's history and development of their herd, seeing what traits showed up when and from where, is invaluable when it comes to breeding and crossing these bloodlines successfully and consistently. We have been very happy with and proud of the results of these crosses and gradually our herd of mares has become predominantly RHA bred and raised, our own personal preference of type combining so many greats of the past.  Please enjoy these mares below, starting with our own RHA bred mares followed by the original mares chosen from many different herds.
